I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE.
Welcome…
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re juggling more than you ever imagined; motherhood, midlife, hormonal no man’s land, and the never-ending question: “When do I get to feel like myself again?”
I get it. Having my second child at 40 taught me firsthand that postpartum in midlife is a whole different season – one that’s rarely spoken about, but deeply felt.
I’m Dr. Katie Gillett, a Doctor with over 15 years experience, women’s health coach in training, and most importantly a fellow midlife mum. I’m here to help you gently reconnect with your health, identity, and energy. Think of me as your science-loving, nature-inspired, hormonal health geek of a guide: equal parts practical and nurturing, with a dash of humour to keep things real.
Here, you’ll find simple, sustainable ways to feel more grounded, energised, and you again, without the overwhelm, guilt, or “perfect plan” pressure.
A LITTLE MORE
ABOUT ME
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by how our minds and bodies work. That curiosity led me to a degree in neuroscience, my journey into medicine, and eventually a career as a GP and now a specialist in palliative medicine. Over 15 years of caring for people through life’s biggest transitions, I’ve learned that health is about so much more than lab results or quick fixes; it’s about the daily choices, habits and connections that help us feel truly alive and aligned with how we are designed to live.
When I became a mum for the second time at 40, all of that knowledge was tested in a very personal way. The sleepless nights and the joyful chaos were familiar, but my body and hormones felt completely different this time. Postpartum in midlife is a landscape few people talk about; you can be navigating perimenopause and night feeds at the same time, caring for ageing parents while raising tiny humans, trying to hold onto a career and a sense of yourself. It can feel lonely, overwhelming, and at times, invisible.
That experience lit a fire in me to support other women walking a similar path. I began training as a women’s health and lifestyle coach to combine the science I love with a more holistic, supportive approach to wellbeing. My philosophy is simple: lasting change doesn’t come from overhauling your life overnight. It’s built from small, sustainable shifts, like morning sunlight, mindful movement, nourishing meals, or simply carving out five quiet minutes for yourself.
Away from work you’ll usually find me chasing my two little ones around the garden, unrolling a yoga mat (even if only for a few deep breaths), or sneaking a coffee in a patch of sunshine. Nature, simplicity and a dash of humour keep me grounded, and they’re the threads you’ll find running through everything I share.
Whether you’re here for practical health wisdom, a nudge towards self-care, or just to feel less alone in this season of life, welcome. You deserve to feel like yourself again, and I’d love to walk alongside you as you rediscover her.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you work with?
I’m currently preparing to welcome clients once I’ve completed my health coaching training and enjoyed a little more time with my young family. When I open my books, I’ll be here for women who have had a baby in their 40s, whether your baby is six months or five years old, who’d love gentle, practical support to feel healthier, more energised, and more like you again.

What actually is coaching?
Coaching is a guided conversation that helps you uncover your own answers and create realistic steps towards change. Instead of giving you a one-size-fits-all plan, I’ll ask thoughtful questions, share relevant knowledge, and support you to build habits that fit your life, so the changes you make feel natural and sustainable.

I'm really busy and overwhelmed - can coaching still work for me?
Absolutely. Coaching is designed to fit your life, not add more pressure. We’ll focus on small, realistic changes that create the biggest impact, so even if time and energy are limited you can still move towards feeling healthier and more like yourself. Our aim will be to reduce your overwhelm, not add to it.

I'm not sure if I'm postpartum, perimenopausal, or just exhausted - is that ok?
Of course. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start coaching; often it’s hard to know what your hormones are (or aren’t) doing in this phase of life. Whatever mix of hormones, sleepless nights or life stress you’re experiencing, we’ll start with where you are now and work together on simple, practical steps to help you feel more balanced and energised.

What services do you offer?
In the future, I’ll be offering 1:1 and group coaching, along with educational resources to help you understand this season of life, navigate it feeling your best, and protect your health for the future. Right now I’m also available for speaking at events or workplaces on topics including perimenopause, menopause, and midlife wellbeing.

Do you give medical advice?
Not here; I’ll act as your coach not your doctor. That said, my years of medical experience give me a solid understanding of health and hormones, so I can offer evidence-informed guidance to help you feel more energised and balanced. Anything medical? I’ll always encourage you to check in with your healthcare provider.
